Our Mission

Our mission is to bring people into the presence of Jesus so that lives will be changed and empowered by the Holy Spirit to go out and share Christ with the world. We are on a mission to see the gospel spread locally and globally by normal people who are empowered by the Holy Spirit to live abnormal lives for His glory.

What We Believe

One God

We believe in one God: omniscient, omnipresent and omnipotent. He is perfect in all ways and exists in three persons; Father, Son and Holy Spirit, all having the same attributes. Genesis 1:26; 1 John 5:7

Holy Spirit

We believe the Holy Spirit is God, the third person of the triune God (1 John 5:7) and was present at creation (Gen. 1:1). We believe He is our Comforter (John 14:16); He is our teacher (John 14:26); Spirit of Truth (John 14:17); is sent to us by Jesus (John 16:7); is our leader (John 16:13), empowers us to be effective witnesses (Acts 1:8); speaks direction (Acts 13:1-2); seals our salvation (Eph. 1:13, 4:30); fills believers (Acts 2:1-4, Eph. 5:18); and in the very end is seen calling people to “come” (Rev. 22:17). We believe the Holy Spirit and the gifts of the Holy Spirt are present and active today and come with guidelines (1 Cor. 12:1-11, 1 Cor. 14:1-33).

Faith

We believe through faith in Jesus Christ alone we receive the forgiveness of sins and are forever restored into a right relationship with God. We believe all who come and confess that Jesus is Lord and believe in Him are saved by grace through their faith (John 3:16-17; Hebrews 10:17-18, Eph. 2:8).

Community and Fellowship

We believe the church is a crucial part of spiritual growth and strength in a believer’s life. We believe God is a community (Gen. 1:26 *emphasis on ‘US’ ), the church is His body on earth, (1 Cor. 12:27), and therefore must be a community, not an individual. We believe God expects us to meet together (Hebrews 10:25). We believe He gives gifts to the church to become mature and minister, (Eph 4:11-16). We believe our fellowship together provides strength (Pro. 27:17).

Jesus Christ

We believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God, (Matthew 3:17) the second person of the triune God, (1 John 5:7), the image of the invisible God, (Col. 1:12-15), existent in eternity past present and future, and as God is creator, (Col 1:16-17). We believe He came to earth as an infant who grew up without sin, to become sin for us that in His sacrifice we can be forgiven, (1 Cor. 5:21). We believe Jesus was crucified on a cross for the sins of man, died and was raised by God on the third day, (John 20). We believe His work on the cross and resurrection is sufficient for salvation and we believe it is a work of Grace found only in Jesus, (Eph. 2:4-10). We believe in the imminent return of Jesus Christ, (John 14:1-2).

Bible

We believe the Bible is the word of God, inspired by God, inerrant, infallible and all authoritative. Everything we believe comes from this Word. We believe the Bible reveals God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, is light to our life, (Ps. 119:105), (2 Timothy 3:16-17; Hebrews 4:12)

Baptism and Communion

We believe baptism and communion are practices that are to be observed by the church. They are not to be regarded as a means of salvation but as symbols of what Christ has done for us and in us.(Matthew 28:19-20; 1 Corinthians 11:23-26)

Worship

We believe worship is not only a vital part of the life of a Christ follower but also a privilege and joy (Psalm 100:2). We believe each Christ follower should live a lifestyle of worship giving glory to Jesus in all things and that those Christ followers should gather together (Hbr. 10:25) in the local church to worship corporately. We believe when we worship that God comes and dwells with us. (Matthew 18:20, Pslam 22:3)
